According to the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, Malaysia AirAsia (AirAsia) officially adopted Lombok, a well-known tourist destination in Indonesia, as an aviation hub.

According to the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, AirAsia will open a direct flight from Lombok to Perth, Australia in June this year. Australian tourists can take the AirAsia A-320 flight in Perth and travel to Jakarta, Bali and Yogyakarta via Lombok.

Indonesian Tourism Minister Arif said that the opening of AirAsia's Lombok Australia route is an important achievement of the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism to enhance the level of air interconnection, and it is expected to further explore the tourism potential of Indonesia's West Nusa Tenggara and eastern Indonesia.
